The historic and royal association of the Kings Lodge spans five centuries. Built in the 17th century, it was converted to a hunting lodge by the Lord of Langleybury who later became Charles I of England. In the cellars below are the remains of passages said to lead to a nearby house occupied by Nell Gwynne, Charles II’s lover. Our en-suite rooms are drenched in history and the warmest of stays is assured.
